Óleo essencial 100% puro de raiz de valeriana, 1/2 fl oz (15 mL) Frasco conta-gotas
A perennial herb originating from Europe, valerian is a flowering plant that typically grows to around four feet tall and blooms during early summer. The source of valerian's potent earth-like scent, however, is its dark, woody roots. Most prominently used to help ease occasional tension and restlessness, valerian's fragrance is often described as full, deep and musty. Though it can make a heady introduction, valerian reveals sweet and subtle notes after its initial impression.

History of Valerian
Although valerian shares its name with an emperor of ancient Rome, the herb has little in common with the ruler aside from a strong presence. Used throughout the ages in traditional wellness practices across the globe, valerian has long been employed for a variety of applications, but is most readily associated with easing occasional sleeplessness. While each person may have a slightly different reaction to the scent, valerian's most ardent fans may be cats, who tend to adore the fragrance with the same enthusiasm as catnip!
